 “   FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Games Workshop Announces Strategic Collaboration with Indie Breakout Ømen Tide

Introducing

SPACE TIDE

 — Where Grimdark Meets the Deep

Nottingham, UK — Games Workshop is proud to announce a groundbreaking collaboration with the acclaimed indie tabletop phenomenon Ømen Tide, marking a bold new chapter in the evolution of the miniature wargaming hobby.

Emerging from the creative depths of the independent scene, Ømen Tide has captivated players worldwide with its striking maritime horror aesthetic, evocative storytelling, and fiercely original design language. Today, Games Workshop formally welcomes this rising tide into the tabletop mainstream.

This partnership culminates in the reveal of an all-new game system:

SPACE TIDE

A daring fusion of the grim darkness of the far future with the haunting, oceanic surrealism of Ømen Tide, Space Tide reimagines warfare among the stars as something far stranger… and far more tidal.

A New Breed of Warrior: The Tideborn

At the heart of Space Tide stand the Tideborn — a radical reinterpretation of the Emperor’s finest.

Forged from the gene-lineage of the revered Firstborn Space Marines, the Tideborn have undergone an unsettling transformation. Their forms are adorned—and in some cases overtaken—by oceanic elements:

  • Helmets shaped like spiraled shells
  • Coral-encrusted power armour
  • Bioluminescent growths pulsing beneath ceramite plating
  • The constant, echoing sound of distant surf within their ranks

They are not merely defenders of humanity. They are something… changed. Claimed by forces as ancient as the void itself.

Rising Threat: The Snorks

Opposing them are the bizarre and anarchic Snorks — a previously unknown strain of greenskin menace adapted to the cold vacuum between stars.

The Snorks retain the brutal cunning and chaotic energy of their kin, but with a surreal twist:

  • Translucent, jellyfish-like cranial forms
  • Tendrils that pulse with strange psychic energy
  • A tendency to drift, swarm, and strike with disorienting fluidity
  • Technology that appears grown as much as built

Where they travel, reality itself seems to ripple—like light through deep water.

A New Way to Wage War

Space Tide introduces innovative mechanics inspired by both systems:

  • Flow-based movement that shifts battlefield dynamics like currents
  • Tide Phases that alter conditions each round
  • Hybrid gameplay combining tight skirmish tactics with cinematic set-pieces
  • A strong emphasis on narrative-driven encounters and evolving warbands

This is not simply a crossover—it is a transformation.

Designed for Hobbyists

As with all Games Workshop systems, Space Tide is built for collectors, painters, and storytellers alike:

  • Highly detailed multipart plastic kits
  • Extensive customization options blending gothic sci-fi and organic marine design
  • New textures, materials, and painting challenges inspired by deep-sea life

From shimmering shells to alien translucence, Space Tide offers hobby opportunities unlike anything before.

The Future is Rising

This collaboration represents Games Workshop’s continued commitment to innovation, creativity, and the celebration of emerging voices within the tabletop community.

The tide is turning. The stars are drowning.

Space Tide is coming.

Further details, including release dates, miniature previews, and gameplay insights, will be revealed in the coming months.

Along with these exciting lines a few pictures were leaked aswell.

It seems that this is the contents of the core box, infront of what can be assumed as the Box design.

Taken from the press announcement, on the left we can see the “Tideborn”, while on the right we can see the sadly blurry image of the “Snorks”.
Luckily the Logo was passed through unblurred:

But we kept the most juicy part for the end: Some pictures of the actual models!

And it appears GW goes back to supplying hobbyists with bitz sprues to allow customisation and kitbashed like in the old days!

Well, what is next? Does GW start selling Greenstuff again?
What do you think? Does this all leads somewhere or will this system die the quiet death that Mortheim or GorkaMorka died?
